StudioPress Tip -Inserting Thumbnail images [video]
This latest video is something I probably should have created a while ago- considering how often I promote StudioPress themes! 
While this isn’t specific to StudioPress themes, for anyone who has purchased the Lifestyle or Church theme, you’ve seen the use of thumbnail images on the homepage in the featured content boxes and may have chosen one of those themes specifically because you like the thumbnail image next to the excerpt on the homepage.
Well, this video will walk you through how to add those images to your post- as well as show you how to dictate which categories show up in your featured content boxes on the homepage. If it helps, I’d love to have your comments or retweets!

First suggestion- have you contacted Hostgator? There might be something in your hosting settings that are not allowing this to show up. Otherwise if you want to send a login I can take a look (just email me: kim@thewordpresschick.com).

Does anyone here know how I can get more than 1 category to show on the bottom of the homepage on church version 4 please?

Sorry it’s taken a while to get back to you.
You’ll have to add an additional featured section to your site (or were you looking to have the one section pull more than one category?) Right now I don’t think you can do that- but eventually all the StudiorPress themes will be available as Child themes…so there will probably be more options once the Church theme is available as a Child theme.

Hi WordPress Chick! Does this thumbnail tutorial work on WPMU? I'm having trouble! The thumbnail won't show, but the post name gets duplicated instead. I've tried using the full directory URL and the image directory itself, but the same results occur.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Hey there!! I'm using the church theme 4.0 and have tried several options with no success in getting the thumbnail to show on the homepage. I do see a box with a ? in it though. I can click on it and it will take me to that page. So basically it gives me a squashed box with a ?. Any thoughts? Thanks!!

Did you try removing the root from the url?
So – instead of it being http://yoursite.com/wp-content/images/yourimage... just from wp-content. So it would look like this: wp-content/images/yourimage.jpg

Hi, I have the lifestyle theme and i noticed that in my wordpress it says “update” instead of publish and in the Lifestyle theme options is different than yours and it says “featured top right, # of posts, featured top left #of posts, etc.
