A Favorite WordPress Cheat

wordpress_cheat

Ok, so this is one of my favorite little WordPress cheats for people who don’t know html, but need to use it in a widget (or sales page, or anywhere else you might need it! ).  You might wonder why you would need to use html in a widget when you’re not just copying & pasting code (for an autoresponder, twitter badge, facebook badge, etc.).  Well, you might be using html in a widget to do an “About Me” or just some text to highlight something and you want certain words in specific colors or bolded.  Or what if you want to put a picture into a widget and don’t know how to create the html for the picture? Well…the answer is RIGHT here…. in your WYSIWYG editor!  You have the ability to type whatever you want, upload pictures (or video), then look at the html UNDER what you just created!

Here’s a snapshot

Now all you have to do is click the html button to get the code! Copy the code that you see, then simply paste it into your widget or wherever you needed the html!

HTML Snag it

Pretty cool, huh? I never run out of reasons to love WordPress! Hope this helped.
